The Winston Boron IIx doublehanded rods are designed to meet the special requirements of steelhead and salmon anglers.  This series can cover lots of water, make precise mends, and cast considerable distances.  The Boron IIx rods were designed with the help of Andre Scholz, Winston's technical advisor and one of the leading spey casters in the world. 

The rod is made with Winston's second generation boron/graphite composite which makes for an incredibly lightweight spey rod exhibiting extraordinary power, responsiveness and accuracy.  The Winston Boron IIx Doublehanded Spey rod is a pleasure to cast and a favorite of our resident guide, Rich Youngers.  It's a perfect choice for the northwest style of skagit casting.

Winston Boron IIt Rods

Winston LT Trout Rods               5 piece rod    $695.00     

Winston's smooth-casting LT 5-piece fly rods fish wonderfully and travel exceptionally well.  This series has set the standard for multiple section fly rods.  The Winston LT has soft tips and action that is slightly faster and crisper than the WT series.  The 5-piece design features internal spigot ferrule system which ensures that the taper and internal diameter of one rod section exactly matches that of the adjourning section.  The performance of these rods is unmatched in the category.

WT Trout Rod 

The vast majority of trout fishing involves casts of less than 60 feet, usually much shorter distances.  When you're working a fish close in, success often depends on your ability to make gentle, delicate, and accurate casts.  For this reason, the Winston WT rod is the perfect choice for smaller waters. 

With progressive tapers, the WT works nicely at close range yet can make longer casts when needed.  These medium fast action graphite rods are incredible smooth, offer that wonderful Winston touch and feel with tips soft enough to protect 6x and 7x tippets while playing larger trout.
