The new Sage ZXL fly rods are significantly lighter, stronger and easier to cast for everyone who enjoys the relaxed casting rhythm of a smooth progressive taper. Through the miracle of Sage's G5 process, they were able to remove every gram of unnecessary material from each blank and replace traditional glass hoop fibers with lighter, more responsive graphite. In fishing terms, this means the ZXL rods provide the angler with an incredibly high line feel and response, resulting in intuitively better casting.
On the water, the Sage ZXL series fly rods are simply wonderful. With the smooth, progressive action flexing down to the grip, the angler can make incredibly delicate presentations. All Sage ZXL fly rods feature a narrower grip for increased comfort and feedback. They have a slim-line nickel silver and rosewood reel seat, ultra-slender blanks colored a deep pomegranate color.

Sage 3000 Series Reels feature a large arbor design for faster line retrieve,
reduced line coiling, and a more consistent drag as the line spools out.
In fact, the retrieve rate is three times faster than traditional small arbor

Sage 2500 Series Reels
The
Sage 2500 Series lightweight, large-arbor reels feature a unique, offset 3:1
gear reduction drag system and numbered, repeatable adjustment knob for
consistent operation in all conditions. Self-lubricating drive gears and
sealed graphite drag washers mean 2500 Series reels are maintenance free and
unaffected by sand, dunkings or blistering runs. These reels are made from
hard-anodized, aerospace-grade aluminum and are approximately 20% lighter
than equivalent size 3000D reels.
