All RIO™ 15 ft Type 3, Type 6 and Type 8 sinking tips are density compensated, allowing the tip to sink first, putting your fly in the strike zone. The tapered tip design and non-hinging loops turn over and cast with ease. These tips are used on the VersiTip and interchangeable tip spey lines. DC Type 3 Sinking (4 wt - 12 wt) DC Type 6 Sinking (4 wt - 12 wt & 15 wt) DC Type 8 Sinking (8 wt - 12 wt) Price: $21.95 |

With the RIO 30 Ft Shooting Heads, you can cast long distances
with ease. Shooting head taper designs have not changed in many
years, and compared to traditional shooting heads, these heads
have a longer flight time, which translates into more distance.
The RIOMax Shooting Heads weight and unique taper design
properly load the rod for optimum performance. The unique front
loaded taper design stabilizes the head in the air and prevents
the characteristic “dumping” at the end of the cast (typical of
traditional shooting heads). The weight of the heads is slightly
more than two line weights heavier than the AFTMA standard
weight so there is no need to upsize the heads to properly load
fast action rods.
Labeled in grain weight, as well as recommended rod rating.
Whether for saltwater, anadromous species or trout, the RIOMax
shooting heads will improve your distance casting.
Available in floating, intermediate, Type 3, Type 6 and Type 8
densities. Price: $34.95 |

RIO developed the T-14™ as a tungsten alternative to lead. T-14
contains no lead. It is supple, does not kink, weighs 14 grains
per foot and sinks at a very fast 8 - 9 inches per second. To
adapt shooting heads and sink tips for existing fishing
conditions, the angler can cut the T-14 to length. Available in
30 ft (9 m) coil packs with three braided loops included.
Also available in T-11™ and T-8™.

Powerflex
Tippet
$3.95
Powerflex Tippet is a high tech, high tenacity copolymer with
excellent knot strength and PTFE coating for abrasion-resistance
and elongation averaging 26%. Sometimes called double strength
nylon. Used for all species, light gray provides superb camouflage
in any subaquatic environment.
Available in diameters 8x - .015 inches, 30 yd single spools
Flouroflex
Tippet
$11.95
Rio's original 100% fluorocarbon and still the best value
fluorocarbon tippet available. Ideal for saltwater, this tippet has
been acclaimed throughout the world and has a great reputation
for reliability. Highly abrasion- resistant and impervious to
ultraviolet light, Fluoroflex is slightly stiffer than Powerflex and
Fluoroflex Plus and will deliver the fly even in a heavy wind.
7x - 0.015 inches in 50 yd (46 m) spools.
Sizes .015 - .013" available @ $14.95 per 25 yd spool
Flouroflex
Plus Tippet
$13.95
This exceptional leader and tippet material is made from 100%
fluorocarbon (PVDF). Fluoroflex? Plus is the strongest, thinnest
fluorocarbon on the market with an incredible strength. It is a
slightly softer material than Fluoroflex and ties excellent knots.
The refractive index (1.42) of Fluoroflex Plus in water (1.33)
compared to nylon (1.62) makes it almost invisible to fish.
Fluoroflex Plus, with a density of 1.72 (compared to nylon of 1.15),
sinks quicker and gets below the surface tension for more effective
dry fly, nymph and wet fly fishing. 7x - 0.015 inches. 30 yds (27.5 m).
