     Alder Creek Ranch

Central Oregon

The lake at Alder Creek Ranch gives you the opportunity to land trophy size trout in a beautiful setting in one of Oregon's most famous vacation destination areas.   A steady supply of icy cold well water keeps the fish biting all season long!!! 

Alder Creek Ranch is located in the high desert area of Central Oregon near Sisters at 3100 feet.  Water depth runs from 4-6 feet just off the bank to a maximum of 16 feet in the deepest area of the lake. Alder Creek Lake fishes best from ice-out through freeze-up.  A special feature of the lake is that when the weather warms up the lake can be cooled by well water that comes in at 48 degrees at 4800 gallons per minute, giving anglers good flyfishing opportunities even in the warmest weather. 

The lake is 13 acres in a crescent shape with a park-like setting on the hillside with picnic tables, mowed lawn and a long wooden dock.  Fishing is limited to six fishermen at one time and reservations are a must!!  All fishing is catch and release with barbless hooks only and a 5 wt or heavier rod is required.  Call us now to reserve your day on this easily accessible, private lake.

Rocky Ridge Ranch

Central Oregon

Offering spectacular views of Mt. Hood and an abundance of wildlife, Rocky Ridge Ranch is an ideal place for the fly angler.  There are a total of seven lakes on this working ranch located in Central Oregon about 100 miles east of Portland. 

There are three large stocked lakes reserved for fly fishing, each offering a unique character of it's own. Muellen is about 30 acres and stocked with small mouth bass and golden trout.  Wild Rose Lake, about 30 acres in size, is stocked with hybrid trout.  The smallest lake is Mule Deer of about 20 acres which is also stocked with trout.  Trout average about 16-20" but there are trout up to 12 lbs available.  Each lake accommodates both wade and float fishing giving the angler an opportunity to utilize an array of fly fishing techniques.  A challenging fly fishing experience awaits the accomplished angler and the beginner alike.  The lakes are rich with aquatic life and hatches can be prolific and include callibaetis, midges, damsels and dragons.  Terrestrials are also effective on these lakes.  .

Anglers are limited in order to preserve the serene, private experience.  All fishing is catch and release with barbless hooks only.  The ranch is open from April through September.  There is a small, private pine cabin on Wild Rose Lake that can sleep up to six for overnight stays at Rocky Ridge Ranch. The insulated cabin offers bunk-bed style accommodations, has a wood stove, kitchenette, bathroom and shower.  The large covered porch offers a BBQ and is the perfect place to relax after your long day fly fishing. 

FLY FISHING:   Adult - $135.00 per day  (Non-fishing guest and Junior rates are available)

CABIN:  Single or Double Occupancy $125.00 per night, each additional guest $25.00

     Red Hills Lake in Dundee Oregon

This small quaint lake is located close to Salem and Portland and one of our favorites for a quick fishing trip.  Larry and Dot have been working on the lake to provide spawning habitat for their Donaldson trout.  Reopening March 1st, this lake has always been one of our favorites.   Call us now to book you day or half day on the lake.  The number of anglers is limited to 6 at a time so you're assured a quality experience.
