Creekside Flyfishing's instructors are all long term, dedicated and experienced fly fishermen and/or fly tiers. Many of our fly tying instructors have received recognition for their work, have been published or have awards to their credit including the Oregon Council Federation Of Fly Fishers Fly Tyer Of The Year awards. In our tying classes you will be learning the art of fly tying from qualified instructors who have spent many years practicing and perfecting their techniques. Our classes are kept small so that each student is assured individual attention. Don't settle for less!
FLY CASTING INSTRUCTION
Beginning Fly Casting
O
ne on One casting instruction by owner/guide Rich Youngers. Learn the basics of casting during this one hour lesson which is taught at the casting area in front of our shop. Bring your own rod and reel or we can provide. During this introduction you'll learn how to do the overhead cast and the roll cast. To schedule a lesson, phone us at 503-588-1768 to set up a date and time. Cost is $45.00.
Advanced Fly Casting
We can also arrange advanced casting instruction for anyone looking to master a certain cast or upgrade their casting technique. Cost is $45.00 for a one hour lesson. Call and chat with Rich to schedule your customized lesson. 503-588-1768.
Spey Casting
Want to learn how to spey cast? We offer individual instruction on spey casting or we can put together a session for a small group. This lesson is done "on water" and is a full 6 hours. Cost is $150.00 per person. You'll learn casting from river right and river left both traditional casting and Skagit style casting. You'll practice the double spey, snap-T, single spey, and the circle spey casts and (time permitting) the Perry Poke. Bring your own equipment or we can provide.
